Alcatel Pixi 4 (6) comes after the launch of Idol 4 with VR headset in December last year

Alcatel has announced the launch of its Pixi 4 (6) smartphone in India. Priced at Rs 9,100, the smartphone was first showcased at CES 2016 and was released in June last year. The handset has been updated to support 4G VoLTE network and also offers improved speakers.

The Alcatel Pixi 4 (6) is a budget smartphone with a large 6-inch display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels and offers a screen-to-body ratio of nearly 72 percent. Powering the device is Qualcomm's Snapdragon 210 platform clocked at 1.1GHz, and graphics is handled by the Adreno 304 GPU. The smartphone launched in India comes with 1.5GB RAM and 16GB storage.

The device sports an 8MP rear camera with autofocus, LED flash and 1080p video recording. At the front is a 5MP camera with LED flash. On the connectivity front, the handset supports WiFi 802.11 b/g/n with WiFi Direct, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS with A-GPS, FM Radio and microUSB port. The smartphone includes sensors like accelerometer, proximity and compass. It runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow and is backed by a 2580mAh battery. The company has partnered with Advanced Computers for offline distribution of its smartphones. Alcatel recently introduced Idol 4 with VR headset exclusively on Flipkart at Rs 16,999.
