Alcatel ICE3 launches the ‘safest radiation free handset in India’

Alcatel ICE3, a joint venture between ICE3 Mobile Network Systems and Alcatel in India, has launched the dual-SIM Alcatel ICE3 OT 806 D phone in India, a device that recently won the “Most Impressive Radiation Free Handset” award at the FIEO Telecom Technology Awards event.

A good looking full QWERTY phone with a touchscreen, the Alcatel ICE3 OT 806 D has got quite a mouthful of a name, but also has one of the lowest SAR (specific absorption rate) level of any mobile phone from a major brand in India – 0.67 Watt/Kg, averaged over a volume of 10 gram of tissue. The higher the SAR level, the larger the amount of radiation that can be absorbed by the head of the user.
