The Alcatel A7 sports a 5.5-inch Full HD display whereas the A5 LED comes with a 5.2-inch HD display. The A5 LED comes with a customisable rear panel with LED lights which flash when the user receives a notification.
Alcatel has launched two new smartphones in India, the Alcatel A7 and the Alcatel A5 LED. The smartphones are priced at Rs 13,999 and Rs 12,999 respectively and can be purchased from Amazon. The Alcatel A7 was unveiled recently at IFA 2017, whereas the Alcatel A5 LED was launched in February at MWC 2017. The main highlight of the A5 LED is its LED back panel, which can be customised to flash when the user receives a call, text and/or notifications. The rear panel can also be removed and replaced with other covers, like a battery pack.
Launch offers
Both the Alcatel smartphones come with bundled launch offers from Amazon, which are valid only until November 13. Customers buying the Alcatel A7 will get the TCL Moveband free with the device, whereas the Alcatel A5 LED will come with a free Alcatel Power and the PC01C back cover (with built-in battery). Other offers include both the smartphones being covered with a one-time free screen replacement offer with a validity of up to 90 days, and Reliance Jio is also offering 20GB of additional 4G data free with the smartphones. Users will receive 5GB of data over a period of 4 months.
Alcatel A5 LED, A7 specifications
The Alcatel A5 LED features a 5.2-inch 720p display and is powered by a 1.5GHz Mediatek MT6753 Octa-core processor with 3GB of RAM. It comes with 16GB of expandable storage and is powered by a 2800mAh battery. The A5 LED features a 13MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and a dual-tone LED flash. It comes with a 5MP front-facing camera. Connectivity options include dual SIM slots, VoLTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Micro-USB, GPS, and Bluetooth 4.2. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and is available in Metallic Silver colour.
The Alcatel A7 is also a dual SIM smartphone which runs on Android 7.0 Nougat. The device sports a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display and is powered by a 1.5GHz MediaTek MTK6750T octa-core SoC, coupled with 4GB of RAM. It comes with 32GB of expandable storage and is backed by a 4000mAh battery with fast charging support. The A7 features a 16MP rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF support and a dual-tone flash. It sports an 8MP front-facing camera with flash. In terms of connectivity, the smartphone comes with GPS, VoLTE, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.2, and NFC.
