HIGHLIGHTS

In addition, the smartphone comes with a massive 7-inch display, along with an in-built Pico projector.

There’s a new gadget in town and it’s trying to do something we have never seen before (except for a similar failed attempt from Micromax). The Akyumen Holophone Phablet (Yes, Phablet is a part of the smartphone’s name) is a smartphone/tablet, with a large 7-inch 1080p display, and the ability to dual-boot Android and Windows 10. What’s even more peculiar about the device is that it houses a 35 Lumen Pico projector, capable of projecting 720p videos, up to 100 inches in size.

Unlike what you may presume, the Holophone Phablet does not run some mobile version of the Windows OS, but instead, runs full-fledged Windows 10. This is probably the reason why the company added a projector to the mix. In addition to running Windows, Holophone can also boot Android OS as per a user’s preference. Other specs of the Holophone Phablet include – an Intel Cherry Trail 8300 Quad-core processor, 4GB RAM, 13MP rear-camera, 5MP front camera, 128GB expandable storage, and a 2910mAh battery.

If you are looking to pick up this beast of a smartphone, you can now pre-order the same from Akyumen’s website. The Holophone Phablet starts retailing at $600 (Rs. 40,025) for the Education version and goes up till $950 (Rs. 63,374) for the Advanced version.
