Airtel aims to tap the enterprise segment with its new Dynamic Mobile Exchange plan.

Bharti Airtel has announced a new mobile data security solution intended for corporates. The solution gives employees access to enterprise data on device of their choice in a secure manner.

The plan called Airtel Dynamic Mobile Exchange (DME) has been launched in view of the growing popularity of the Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) concept in the offices. The solution enables employees to segregate official and personal data on the same device by classifying the information such as e-mails, data data apps, documents among others.

“Airtel Dynamic Mobile Exchange (DME) allows workforce to access enterprise data from anywhere on a device of their choice, in a secure manner- thus enhancing the business productivity while meeting mobile data security requirements of the enterprise,” the company said in a statement.

RIM’s BlackBerry is one of the commonly used platforms for such purposes. With the growing popularity of Android and other mobile platforms as well as the BYOD culture, companies have been now looking for other alternatives. Airtel’s new plan is likely to encourage other operators to tap the segment.
