A leak revealed that both the Xiaomi 14T and Xiaomi 14T Pro can come equipped with Circle to Search.

As per this leak, the Xiaomi 14T series will become the first non-Google, non-Samsung series to pack this feature.

Xiaomi is gearing up to launch its Xiaomi 14T series. The new smartphones are expected to drop on September 26 in Berlin. The Xiaomi 14T series will succeed last year’s Xiaomi 13T series which debuted in November last year. We might get to see AI features on these devices too along with other key advancements.

One of the key points of the release of the Xiaomi 14T series is the fact that the “Circle to Search” feature which was earlier limited to Android phones like Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy S series, will now make its debut on the Xiaomi 14T. For those unaware, Circle to Search is Google’s visual lookup tool. This feature allows users to select a specific area on the screen by drawing a circle around it and then triggering a visual lookup on the web.

This feature can be easily activated by long-pressing the home button or the navigation pill. Circle to Search also supports various actions such as scribbling or highlighting text and objects on the screen for quick searches.

Though this has not been confirmed yet, tipster Spillsomebeans shared leaked promotional material online that revealed that both the Xiaomi 14T and Xiaomi 14T Pro can come equipped with Circle to Search.

If this turns out to be true, the Xiaomi 14T series will become the first non-Google, non-Samsung series to pack this feature. In addition to this, the Xiaomi 14T and 14T Pro will reportedly include other AI-backed tools powered by Google’s Gemini large language model (LLM). So features like AI Notes, AI Interpreter, AI Subtitles, and AI Voice Recorder can come to this smartphone too.

Apart from this, other expected key specs include a MediaTek Dimensity 8300 chipset, with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of expandable storage. It can also pack a 5,000mAh battery with 45W fast charge support.
