Acer Liquid Jade 2 flagship phone unveiled at MWC 2016

The Liquid Jade 2 is powered by the Snapdragon 808 and has 21MP/8MP cameras, making it the company's flagship smartphone for now.

Acer has unveiled its new Liquid Jade 2 flagship smartphone at the Mobile World Congress, alongside the Liquid Zest and Liquid Zest 4G. The Liquid Jade 2 comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD AMOLED display with 2.5D Gorilla Glass screen. The device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 with 3GB of RAM. At the back is a 21MP camera with an f/2.2 aperture lens and dual-LED flash, while at the front is an 8MP camera with an 84-degree wide-angle lens. The Acer Liquid Jade 2 comes with 32GB of onboard storage, and the company says that it is offering an additional 1TB of hybrid storage with the phone. It says that hybrid storage seamlessly integrates cloud storage with local storage, on select models.

The Acer Liquid Zest phones come with a 5-inch HD IPS display. At the back is an 8MP camera, while at the front is a 5MP camera. The Liquid Zest is powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6580 quad-core processor, while the Zest 4G comes with a 1.3GHz Mediatek MT6735 quad-core SoC. Both devices run Android Marshmallow v6.0.

The pricing and availability of the Acer Liquid Jade 2 wasn’t revealed. However, the prices for the Liquid Zest start at EUR 109 (approx. Rs. 8,200), while the Zest 4G is priced at EUR 149 (approx. Rs. 11,300).
