Acer at MWC 2015: Liquid Jade Z, Liquid Windows Phone & more
Acer showed up at MWC 2015 with a bunch of Android and Windows Phone smartphones under its Liquid series.
Acer has inundated MWC 2015 with a series of announcements revealing a new Liquid Jade Z smartphone, Liquid M220 Windows Phone and two more handsets in the Liquid Z series.
Acer Liquid Jade Z
The Liquid Jade Z has a 5-inch 720p IPS display, runs on a 64-bit quad-core MediaTek chip and offers 4G LTE support. Imaging is handled by a 13MP primary camera with an aperture of F1.8, and a front-facing 5MP camera with F2.2 aperture. The Jade Z is 7.9mm at its widest and weighs 110 grams. It also comes with the AcerNAV free offline navigation software powered by TomTom and TripAdvisor’s POI.
The Liquid Jade Z runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop and will be launched later this month for €199 (Rs. 15,400 approx.).
Acer Liquid M220 Windows Phone
The Acer Liquid M220 is a Windows Phone 8.1 powered handset that is upgradeable to Windows 10. It has a 4-in display with a resolution of 800×480 pixels, a 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB internal storage with microSD support, dual SIM support and a 1,300mAh battery. It also sports a 5MP primary camera with autofocus and a 2MP front camera.
The Liquid M220 will be launched in April for €79 (Rs. 6,000 approx.) making it one of the most affordable Windows Phone handsets around.
Acer Liquid Z220 & Z520
The Acer Liquid Z220 has a 4-in display with a resolution of 800×480 pixels, a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon 200 processor, a 5MP primary camera and a 2MP front camera, 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage with microSD support. The Liquid Z220 will hit markets later this month for €89 (Rs. 7,000 approx.).
The Acer Liquid Z520 has a 5-inch screen with the same resolution as above, a Snapdragon 400 quad-core chip, 1GB RAM, 8GB of storage with microSD support and an 8MP camera with a 2MP secondary shooter. The Liquid Z520 is expected to be out in April for €109 (Rs. 8,500 approx.).
Both the Acer Liquid Z220 and the Z520 will run on Android 5.0 Lollipop.
