Micromax Canvas Doodle 4 launched at Rs 9,499

Micromax Canvas Doodle 4 launched, features a 6 inch display, quad-core processor and Android 5.0.

Micromax has launched the Canvas Doodle 4 smartphone in India at Rs. 9,499. The company had sent out a teaser about the smartphone earlier this week, but did not made an official announcement or listed the device on its India site yet.

Micromax had posted a doodle of a flying plane, with the words ‘It all starts with a doodle’ on its Facebook page. The photo says that sometimes ‘doodling around accidentally gives you brilliant ideas.’ Mumbai based retailer Mahesh Telecom has confirmed that the Canvas Doodle 4 Q391 is now available for Rs 9,499 and has an MRP of Rs 9,999. The Canvas Doodle 4 has a 6-inch HD display with 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. It has a metallic finish and similar to its predecessors is expected to come with a stylus. The smartphone has a quad-core 1.3 GHz processor and runs Android 5.0 Lollipop out-of-the-box. It has an 8 MP rear camera and a 2 MP front-facing camera. The Canvas Doodle 4 has 1 GB RAM and 8 GB of onboard storage. Connectivity options included are Dual-SIM with dual standby, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and GPS support. It is backed by a 3000mAh battery. The Micromax Canvas Doodle 4 Q391 is the fourth handset in the Canvas Doodle series, Micromax has earlier launched the Canvas Doodle A111, Doodle 2 A240 and Doodle 3 A102.

Earlier this month Micromax had launched Cyanogen OS 12 based Yu Yuphoria smartphone and YuFit fitness band in India at Rs. 6999 and Rs 999 respectively. The Yu Yuphoria has a 5-inch 720p display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection and is powered by a  Snapdragon 410 1.2 GHz processor. It has 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB internal phone memory. The smartphone comes with an 8 MP primary camera and a 5 MP secondary camera. It runs Android Lollipop customized by Cyanogen OS 12 including an App Themer that lets you customise each app. The handset comes preloaded with a dialer powered by TrueCaller, email powered by Boxer and audio FX. It is backed by a 2230mAh battery. Micromax has also announced a YuFit fitness band that is integrated with HealthifyMe.
