As we enter another new month, the anticipation about new and upcoming smartphone launches grips us. I am very excited to see what this month has to offer, and I am sure you might be too. So let’s take a look at four smartphones that could drop in May.
To begin with, Google will host its annual I/O in the first half of May and reports suggest that the Pixel 8a will debut at this conference. It can pack the Tensor G3 chipset under the hood and might come with a promise of seven years of security updates. This will be an affordable offering in the Pixel 8 lineup.
OnePlus could also drop the Nord 4 after the success of its OnePlus Nord CE 4. This smartphone will succeed the previous Nord 3. If rumours are to be believed, the OnePlus Nord 4 might draw inspiration from the OnePlus Ace 3V. It might feature the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 processor and ample RAM and storage options. We don’t know a lot about this smartphone yet.

The recently dropped Edge 50 Pro saw a lot of good responses, but it seems that Motorola is not stopping here. It might launch the Edge 50 Ultra soon. This smartphone will allegedly focus on photography enthusiasts, as well as those seeking performance. It might come with a display offering a 144Hz refresh rate, a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, and a generous amount of RAM. We might even get to see high-resolution camera sensors on this device.
Finally, Samsung might launch another smartphone in the mid-range segment with the Galaxy F55. It is speculated to be a rebranded version of the Galaxy M55 5G. The Galaxy F55 could launch under competitive pricing, tailored for the Indian audience.
