Motorola’s flagship smartphone for 2016 may house a 5-inch display panel, bucking the general trend of flagship devices featuring 5.5-inch displays or larger. Package listing on Indian import data site, Zauba, shows a device named Motorola Moto X3 being imported to New Delhi from the United States of America. The listing states that the device houses a 5-inch display, and is a single SIM GSM device. No further news has been revealed until now.
After the Moto X (2nd Gen), Motorola launched two variants of the flagship X lineup — the mid-range Moto X Play, and the higher-priced Moto X Style. These two were followed by the flagship, Moto X Force. While Motorola ventured away from a singular 3rd Generation Moto X, it is possible that the company will return to calling this a third generation iteration of the Moto X lineup, reminding us of the first Moto X devices with incredibly compact builds.
Not much information has been available regarding the device until now, but general consensus suggests the Snapdragon 820 chipset powering the device, like most of the present generation flagship smartphones. Zauba’s listings have mostly given promising information regarding upcoming devices, and we expect to see more of it in the upcoming weeks.
