Nvidia introduced its 400M notebook discrete GPUs, the GeForce GTX 480M,a couple of months after releasing its first DX11 GPUs based on the Fermi architecture, the GeForce GTX 480. Now, it has fleshed out the family, and offers seven Fermi-based notebook processors.
The new processors are based on the 40nm fabrication process, and will all support CUDA, 3D Vision, PhysX, and Optimus graphics-switching technology. According to Nvidia, the new 400M series offers 40x better performance than the previous generation of GeForce, and are 5 times faster than Intel’s integrated solutions.
