Microsoft Surface Book 2 coming to India and 16 other markets soon

The Microsoft Surface Book 2 is expected to start rolling out in the new markets starting February, but the price is not yet known.

Microsoft has annoucned that it will be launching its Surface Book 2 in multiple global markets including India. In a blog post, the company said that it was releasing both variants of the device in 17 markets, and would start rolling it out from the begining of February.

The Surface Book 2 was launched late last year and is available in 13.5-inch and 15-inch variants, both with PixelSense displays. The device is available with up to an 8th Generation Intel Core i7 processor and 16GB of RAM. User’s also have the option of choosing up to an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 graphics and up to 1TB of storage. The Surface Book 2 supports the Surface Pen and Surface Dial. Microsoft claims that the new device can offer up to 17 hours of battery life. The Surface Book 2 sports USB Type-C and Type-A ports as well as a full-size SD card slot.

The price of the Microsoft Surface Book 2 in India is not yet know, but in the US, the device starts at $1,499, which is approximately Rs 95,700. It should be noted that this would be the first time that Microsoft will launch the Surface Book in India, as the first generation device was not launched in the country. 

Microsoft is also expected to launch its latest gaming console, the Xbox One X, in India soon. A page for the console briefly popped up on the company’s Indian page suggesting that the device would be priced at Rs 44,990 and would launch on January 15. However, the page was quickly taken down and there is no information as to when the company would finally launch the device in the country.
