Microsoft unveiled its new Surface PCs – Microsoft Surface Pro 9, Surface Laptop 5 and Surface Studio 2+ at a hardware-centred event today. The new PCs run Windows 11 OS. In addition, the Microsoft Surface Pro 9 and Surface Laptop 5 are refreshed with Intel's 12th-Gen Core CPUs, whereas the Surface Studio 2+ has an 11th-Gen Core processor paired with Nvidia graphics.
The tablet-cum-laptop, Microsoft Surface Pro 9, has two variants with a starting price of $999, roughly Rs 82,200. One variant features Microsoft's SQ 3 SoC, made in partnership with Qualcomm, and unlocks 5G capabilities on the laptop. In addition, it has up to 16GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 512TB of SSD storage. The other variant features an Intel 12th Gen Intel Core i7-1255U processor paired with an Iris Xe GPU and has up to 32GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 1TB of SSD storage. Apart from these, both variants have similar specifications.
The Surface Laptop 5 has two display variants, and the base variant costs $999, roughly Rs. 82,300. The base model has a 13.5-inch display with a 2256×1504 pixel resolution with four color options – Platinum with Alcantara, Sage, Matte Black, and Sandstone. On the other hand, the top model features a 15-inch screen with a 2496×1664 pixel resolution and has only two color options – Platinum and Matte Black finish.
Surface Studio 2+ is the premium model priced at Rs $4,299, roughly Rs 3,53,800. It comes with a distinct Zero Gravity Hinge and allows customers to adjust the viewing angle. It is the only product in this year's Surface series with an 11th-Gen Intel Core i7-11370H processor. In addition, the laptop has a 6GB Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 CPU paired with 32GB of DDR4 RAM and 1TB of SSD storage.
