Lenovo's latest Ideapad Y700 gaming laptop is now available in India. Lenovo’s Y-series of products have always been aimed at gaming and the Y700 will be available in two variants priced respectively at Rs. 91,990 and Rs. 99,990. Both laptops are powered by the Intel Core i7 6700HQ (2.6GHz up to 3.5GHz, 6M cache) processor and are available with NVIDIA N16P-GX GDDR5 4G (Hybrid) graphics, which is the 4GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960M.
Both variants of the Y700 sport a 15.6-inch full HD display and run on Windows 10. The differences are in storage and RAM. The more affordable Rs. 91,990 variant of the Y700 offers 8GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. In comparison, the higher priced variant of the Y700 sports 16GB of RAM and an extra 128GB SSD, in addition to the 1TB HDD. Lenovo has partnered with JBL to provide speakers on the Ideapad Y700. The laptop features a 4-cell battery and Lenovo claims it has 5 hours of battery life.
The Lenovo Y700 will be offered with 1 year warranty, while additional warranty can also be purchased. The laptop will be pitted against the Asus ROG GL552VW, which features similar hardware specifications. The Lenovo Y700 is available for purchase from Lenovo’s official website.
