NEC is a joint venture for NEC Personal Computers and Lenovo, and they have just announced a refresh to their laptop called the LAVIE Pro mobile at the all-digital CES 2021. The company is known for designing compact and durable laptops in the consumer sector.
The LAVIE Pro mobile comes with a compact 13.3-inch display and weighs just under 900 grams. The device sports an all-day-long battery marked at 10hrs usage on a full charge. The device also supports fast charging topping up 80 percent in just one hour. The laptop has a custom-built keyboard and features a lift-up hinge to tilt the keyboard for ease of use typing.
The laptop is powered by the Intel Core i7 11th Gen CPU with Intel Xe Graphics. The laptop features a 360-degree dual-microphone array and bottom-firing speakers for the remote-work era of video calling. It also features Windows Hello Facial recognition for faster unlocking and sports a dedicated USB-A, Full-sized HDMI port, and a 3.5mm jack on the right. On the left, the device comes with an SD reader, Kensington lock, and two USB-C ports of which one supports fast charging.
The laptop comes with a carbon casing on top and bottom for improved durability and lightweight design. NEC markets this laptop as an on-the-go device for users who need a lightweight laptop with all the functions along with powerful internals. The LAVIE Pro Mobile starts at $1,699.99 (Roughly Rs. 1,24,515).
