iPhone 14 Pro reportedly enters trial production: Everything we know including Apple’s product roadmap
iPhone 14 Pro has apparently entered trial production suggesting the company has finalized its design.
The phone could have a central pill cutout for a selfie camera, a flat camera housing, circular volume rockers, a newer A16 Bionic chipset, more RAM, larger 48MP main camera, among other improvements.
Apple’s 2022 product roadmap is likely to include more Macs with perhaps M2 and other processors.
There’s a range of Apple products making rounds in the news cycle lately. The latest one of those is new about the forthcoming iPhone 14 Pro. This flagship from Apple is likely to introduce some design changes like a pill-shaped selfie camera cutout, a rather flat back with the camera bumps also recessed. Even taking inspiration from some old-school iPhones, this incoming iPhone could sport round buttons for volume control. Now, if these rumours are the final design, that might be it as a report by Taiwan Economic Times is claiming the phones have entered trial production.
Recently, we have also got some idea of the entire iPhone 14 Pro product lineup for the year. We will get to that too, but first, the iPhone news:
Apple iPhone 14 Pro Specs and Features (Expected)
You can be sure of getting a newer A16 Bionic chipset. This could be paired with relatively more memory configuration than in previous years. The rumours (mostly from Jon Prosser) suggest you could get up to 8GB of RAM and up to 2TB onboard storage.
The chassis could also see some refinements to the squared-off edge design. The buttons on the side could be of round shape this time around. The speaker grille at the bottom might also be slightly redesigned.
However, the biggest shift in the design you might notice would be the pill-shaped housing for the front camera and flat camera rings. The sensors could be a 48MP main camera with support for 8K video recording, as well as a better ultrawide camera.
The screen sizes on the iPhone 14 Pro would be two 6.1-inch ones and two 6.7-inch variants. That means we might not get a mini variant in the iPhone 14 series.
Last but not least, the company is speculated to replace the SIM slot with full eSIM support.
Meanwhile, here’s what you can expect out of Apple’s 2022 Mac offering:
Apple Mac lineup for 2022 (Expected)
Apple is expected to hold an event on March 8 wherein Mark Gurman of Bloomberg thinks we could get a new Mac Mini and a 13-inch MacBook Pro with Apple Silicon refresh. Following this, Gurman forecasts an event in May or June. He expects a revamped MacBook Air and a new 24-inch iMac with an M2 processor, as well as another Mac mini with M1 Pro or M1 Max.
Let’s see how it all pans out. In any case, if Apple has a packed year, we will also be busy covering them for you.
