Gigabyte just rolled out their latest gaming monitor, the AORUS CO49DQ, in India. It’s a 49-inch beast with a curved QD-OLED screen and it’s going to be available from the 31st of April for ₹129,000. You can grab one online or swing by any authorized GIGABYTE dealership.

It is a 49-inch ultrawide QD-OLED monitor. It packs a 5120 x 1440p resolution, covers 99% of the DCI-P3 color space, and kicks out refresh rates up to 144Hz.
It’s also got a KVM switch, which lets you control multiple devices with one keyboard and mouse. Plus, Picture-in-Picture (PiP) and Picture-By-Picture (PbP) features make multitasking a breeze. Fortunately, this monitor doesn’t ship with those clunky external power bricks. It has got its power supply built right in.

What does AI do in this Gigabyte gaming monitor?
OLED technology emits its own light that provides deep blacks and high contrast ratios. Pixel burn-in occurs when static images degrade pixels unevenly over time. So, in this gaming monitor, AI adjusts display settings subtly to prevent burn-in without disrupting viewing.
But AORUS CO49DQ is not the only one of its own
Gigabyte is backing this up with a three-year warranty that even covers panel burn-in. Moreover, this monitor faces stiff competition, notably from the MSI MPG 491CQP QD-OLED. This model also boasts a 49-inch screen with a 5120×1440 resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and similar QD-OLED technology. It was recently released in China and is expected to be available globally soon.
Another competitor is the Samsung Odyssey OLED G9, part of Samsung’s 2024 lineup of QD-OLED monitors. This model also boasts a 49-inch curved display with a 5120×1440 resolution and supports a 240Hz refresh rate, offering an ultra-wide viewing experience with high refresh rates for smooth gameplay.
