Japanese laptop manufacturer Fujitsu plans to bring multiple computing devices to India
Their starting product lineup includes a thin and light laptop and a convertible 2 in 1 laptop PC
Both of these products offer exceptional Japanese build quality and weigh under 1 kg, according to the company
Fujitsu UH-X Thin and Light laptop and UH-X convertible 2 in 1 laptop PC have launched in India and will become available for purchase during the Amazon Prime day sale on July 26. The Fujitsu UH-X Thin and Light laptop has a starting price of Rs 80,990, meanwhile, the Fujitsu UH-X convertible 2 in 1 laptop costs Rs 86,990. Both of these laptops come with several exclusive features and will only be available for purchase online via Amazon starting July 26.
Although Fujitsu is a Lenovo partner, the launch of these two laptops event is solely between FCCL (Fujitsu Client Computing Limited) and Amazon.
Fujitsu UH-X Thin And Light Specifications, Price
As its name suggests, the Fujitsu UH-X Thin And Light laptop is a thin and light laptop engineered to deliver high CPU performance, long battery life, comfortable ergonomics, portability, security and ease of usage.
The Fujitsu UH-X Thin and Light laptop has an 11th gen Core i7 CPU featuring Intel Iris XE graphics, Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi 6/6E, and a boost clock of up to 4.8GHz. In terms of memory and storage options, the UH-X Thin and Light laptop features 8GB/16GB RAM in combination with 512GB/1TB SSD storage. The laptop has a 13.3” FHD Anti-glare screen with 100% sRGB. 400 nits of brightness and an IGZO panel that claims to offer vibrant colours with power savings.
The Fujitsu UH-X Thin And Light laptops have great I/O support with a USB Type-A / USB Type C / HDMI / SD card reader/ 3.5 mm audio jack. It also supports Wired LAN, a feature that even several thin and light gaming laptops lack.
Fujitsu UH-X Thin And Light promises up to hours of battery life and up to 65-watt fast charging support. In 30 minutes, the battery charges up to 50%. You can also charge the FUJITSU UH-X Thin And Light laptop with a mobile phone using reverse charging.
In terms of security, the Fujitsu UH-X Thin and Light laptop feature a camera with a facial recognition feature with infrared LED light. A fingerprint sensor built into the power button is also available as a log-in option on this laptop.
The Fujitsu UH-X Thin and Light laptop features concave-shape keys, the kind of ones you usually see on a desktop keyboard, and it has a V-shape gearing to give you that "satisfying" feeling of a keypress. The keys have a 19mm key pitch and a 1.5mm stroke length.
The Fujitsu UH-X Thin and Light laptops offer more exclusive features in the form of an HD front-facing camera along with a webcam shutter, and a dual microphone featuring noise-cancelling. It also has box speakers and Dirac panorama sound to make online communication much easier.
The UH-X thin and light uses elastic resin to protect vulnerable areas all around the laptop. The ultrabook goes through a 200kgf full surface pressure test, a 35kgf one point pressure test and a 76cm drop test during its manufacturing. The laptop's chassis is made from Magnesium Alloy enabling, which the company says offers an edge over iron or aluminium in terms of strength.
As a result, the FUJITSU UH-X Thin and Light laptop weighs just 878g making it India's lightest Thin and Light consumer notebook. It has a starting price of Rs 80,990.
Fujitsu UH-X Convertible 2 in 1 Specifications, Price
Similar to the thin-and-light laptop, the UH-X Convertible is geared towards business and product usage. It comes with a 360-degree hinge which enables you to use this laptop in four different modes. To make full use of its touch screen, the Fujitsu UH-X Convertible 2 in 1 features a shortcut button to launch the active pen memo app, allowing users to quickly take notes.
The Active pen comes Built-in with the UH-X Convertible 2 in 1 laptop and has 4096 levels of pressure to provide paper and pencil-like accuracy. The Built-in pen charges when stored inside the laptop and provides 90 minutes of battery life after 15 seconds of charging.
In another set of exclusive features, the Convertible 2 in 1 laptop has a 2MP front camera with Windows Hello face login support and a 5MP rear camera so users can shoot, edit and share using a single device.
Lastly, the Fujitsu UH-X Convertible 2 in 1 uses a similar 13.3" FHD anti-glare display with all the same specifications including 400 nits of brightness, 100% sRGB, and an IGZO panel. Additionally, the 2 in 1 goes through similar durability testings like its “thin and light” cousin and features elastic resin to protect its vulnerable areas.
The Fujitsu UH-X Convertible 2-in-1 also comes with the same concave keys featuring Spherical-cylindrical Key Top and Dirac panorama sound for effective online communication.
In terms of specs, the Fujitsu comes with an 11th gen Intel Core i7/i5 CPU, up to 16 GB of memory and up to 1 TB of SSD storage. The 11th gen Intel CPU has built-in WiFi6 11ax/ac/a/b/g/n and Bluetooth 5.0 support as well. Fujitsu claims up to 11 hours of battery for the UH-X convertible with a 50% charge in just 30 minutes using the 65-watt fast charger.
All these components inside the Fujitsu convertible laptop lend it a weight of just under 1 kg and a starting price tag of Rs 86,990.
