CES 2023: Lenovo unveiled a Windows laptop that has a rotating E-Ink display
Lenovo announced a new laptop offering equipped with a rotating e-ink display at the CES 2023.
The product is known as the Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Twist
It has a 12-inch e-ink display along with a 2.8K OLED panel that functions as the primary display.
Lenovo’s E-Ink offerings have taken people by storm, which is probably why the company is expanding offerings that use this technology. The new Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Twist comes with a 12-inch, front-lit colour E ink touch display and has a swivel at the bottom of the screen. This means that you can rotate the screen as you wish. What’s super cool about this is that when you swivel the screen to the right, the 2.8K OLED panel turns into the lid.
Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Twist
The Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Twist is a new laptop offering from the company that allows users to twist and swivel the screen, turning the lid into the display and vice versa. It uses an e-ink touch display. Users can also shut the laptop to use it in tablet mode. Other features include an Intel Core i7 CPU and up to up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM.
Is the 12Hz refresh rate too slow?
The Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Twist has an E-ink touch display with a refresh rate of 12Hz, which can understandably be sluggish. However, according to Lenovo, the retail models will not face this issue. The production model unveiled at CES 2023 is merely an example of what the laptop is meant to be.
