CES 2011 – HP refreshes almost entire laptop line, incorporates Fusion & Sandy Bridge

HP has decide to launch only one new device this CES which is the new HP Pavilion dm1-3020us. Rest of the devices will just get a major overhaul. This brand new 11.6-inch  netbook is the latest upgrade of the HP ultraportable dm1z series of netbooks which features the new featuring low-power (18W) “Zacate” AMD Fusion APU (Accelerated Processing Unit) which has combined the AMD E-350 1.6 Ghz dual-core processor and also has a HPU integrated onto the same chip.

[RELATED_ARTICLE]The Envy 17, which was first Introduced by HP in May, has now incorporated the new HP CoolSense technology and the new Intel Core family of processors which now come with the multi-core Turbo Boost feature. It also comes with AMD switchable graphics technology which allows you to dynamically switch between integrated graphics and a discreet AMD Mobility Radeon HD 6850M graphic processor which gives you better performance when needed and also improves battery life when graphics are not needed. Additionally, this laptop offers a 17.6-inch display which is stereoscopic ready and uses DDD’s TriDef 3D Experience Ignition Game Player, with up to 2TB of storage, and Beats Audio with HP Triple Bass Reflex Subwoofer for an amazing audio experience.

HP has also aesthetically overhauled their HP Mini 210 line of portable netbooks with the addition of two new plaid designs in two different colors which include Ice-berry and Raspberry. The hardware however remains the same as they both feature the usual Atom processors which are either  N455 or N550 and a 6-cell battery that provides up to 10.75 hours of battery life depending on the configuration you choose.

The HP Pavilion dv6 and dv7 have also been upgraded to the much anticipated second generation of Intel’s Core CPUs, which have been codenamed Sandy Bridge. Plus, they’ll also get the newest generation of AMD Mobility Radeon GPUs with dynamic switching capability.
