Asus ROG Strix and TUF series of laptops have been launched in India

Asus has refreshed a bunch of laptops under its ROG Strix and TUF brand. These include ROG Strix Scar 15/17, ROG Strix G15/17, ASUS TUF F15/17, and TUF A15/17. They are powered by either Intel’s 12th gen Core H-series or AMD’s Ryzen 6000-series of mobile CPUs. Additionally, they all are also armed with Mux Switch and Adaptive-Sync support.

Asus ROG Strix Scar 15 and Scar 17 Specs and Features

Both Strix Scar 15 and 17 are packing an Intel Core i9-12900H CPU with up to an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Ti mobile GPU. There is support for MUX Switch, which is a hardware toggle that enables a direct connection between the display and dGPU. This should provide lower latency and faster performance in gaming.

By the way, that display is a 240Hz QHD display with support for Dolby Vision HDR and Adaptive Sync.

Their innards also include DDR5 RAM and a liquid metal cooling mechanism. 

Asus has also outfitted the Strix Scar with customizable Armour Caps and RGB lighting for gamer-friendly aesthetics if you will. The machine also sports USB-C charging through a 280W power adapter capable of filling half the tank in mere 30 minutes.

Asus ROG Strix G15 and Strix G17 Specs and Features

These come with a ROG backlit logo and the signature dot matrix pattern on the bonnet. 

Internally, you get up to R9-6900HX backed by up to Nvidia RTX 3070Ti on the Strix G15/17. There is also the aforementioned Mux Switch and a proprietary cooling solution to ensure the machine runs quickly and stays cool.

Other notable features are their dual speaker setup and USB-PD fast charge support that claims to take the battery from 0 to 50-per cent in a matter of 30 minutes.

Asus ROG TUF F15/17 Specs and Features

Asus has put in the Intel 12th Gen Core i7-12700H processor and up to Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 graphics. There is support for enhancing features like Nvidia DLSS, Ray Tracing, Mux Switch, and Adaptive-sync for better graphics rendering. 

You will be able to enjoy this graphics output on an FHD display with up to a 300Hz refresh rate.

You can also go with the QHD panel for better resolution and colours that may be critical for certain professionals. 

If you want to add a secondary monitor, you can do that as well through the Thunderbolt 4 port. Other hardware in the machine is its dual speakers (with Dolby Atmos support and Hi-Res Audio certification), and a 90WHr battery.

Asus ROG TUF A15/17 Specs and Features

This is also an AMD machine with up to Ryzen 7 6800H processor and up to Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 GPU, and 84-blade Arc Flow Fans (with up to 13% more airflow).

Here too, you get Adaptive-Sync support, MUX Switch, 165Hz@QHD or 300Hz @FHD display options, and a 90WHr battery with fast charging support that can top up to 50% of charge in just 30 minutes.
