The laptop comes with a 6-cell battery pack and Asus claims that the laptop can last upto 12 hours with the Wi-Fi connected. It features the new 802.11ac Wi-Fi which Asus says is 3X faster than the 802.11n standard. The chiclet keyboard is also improved and offers a longer 1.5mm of key travel. And, as the lid is opened, it raise the base, which makes the typing experience more comfortable. Asus says the touchpad uses exclusive smart gestures which work similar to the gestures one uses on a smartphone. All of this and the laptop weighs just 1.3Kg.
Peter Chang, Regional Head of South Asia and Managing Director for Asus India said “The UX305LA is a perfect balance of great looks and functionality which delivers a powerful performance with the Windows 10 combination. The Indian consumers are increasingly moving towards ultraportable products and the featherweight ZenBook UX305LA is a real performer that redefines this segment with its svelte design. It is one of the most affordable products in this category and we truly believe that it deserves a top spot in the festive shopping list of the Indian consumers.”
It is to be noted that instead of the Intel Core i3 variant of the UX305LA, Asus is bringing a Core M variant. Asus already has the UX305FA which comes with a 256GB SSD and is powered by a Intel Core M processor.
