Apple is expected to make a significant upgrade to its Mac lineup, with the introduction of the highly anticipated M4 chips. According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, we can expect the M4 Macs to be launched as soon as next week, although he did not specify an exact date. Gurman shared that next week will be busy for Apple, starting with “Apple Intelligence” on Monday, followed by the M4 Mac launch, and culminating in the earnings report on Thursday.

In a further hint about the launch timeline, Gurman noted that Apple is inviting journalists and content creators to a hands-on experience in Los Angeles next Wednesday. This suggests that an announcement for the new Macs is likely to occur before that date.

Adding to the excitement, leaker Sonny Dickson revealed that the new Mac mini, featuring five USB-C ports, might actually be launched this week. While Dickson has a mixed track record with hardware predictions, he has successfully shared accurate information in the past, reports MacRumors. Regardless of the details, it appears that Apple is preparing to unveil its first Macs with M4 chips very soon.

The upcoming announcements could include several exciting new products. Expected models include an entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro equipped with the M4 chip, which will have an additional Thunderbolt port compared to the current version. There might also be upgraded 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models available with M4 Pro and M4 Max chip options, as well as a refreshed iMac featuring the M4 chip.

Additionally, a new Mac mini is anticipated, designed similarly to an Apple TV, with two front-facing USB-C ports and options for M4 and M4 Pro chips. Finally, Apple may introduce USB-C versions of its popular Magic Mouse, Magic Trackpad, and Magic Keyboard accessories.
