There's no shortage of convertible ultrabooks in the market as a lot of OEMs have an assortment of laptops in a variable price range. But Acer just decided to step up its game and go one step further to launch India's first 5G-enabled laptop. Yes, the company has just launched its Spin 7 2-in-1 notebook in India which is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 compute platform.
The Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2 compute platform brings the best of the smartphone to premium ultrathin fanless laptops; with powerful performance and leading efficiency to advance Always On, Always Connected PC experiences. The Snapdragon 8cx supports both mmWave and sub-6 GHz 5G frequencies. The Acer Spin 7 is an always-on, always-connected laptop with 4G LTE, 5G, and Wi-Fi 6.
The Acer Spin 7 is powered by the Qualcomm Kryo 495 octa-core CPU with up to 3.0 GHz speed. It comes with 8GB of onboard LPDDR4X system memory and 512GB UFS high-performance storage. The laptop sports a 14-inch FHD IPS display with 250 nits of peak brightness and touchscreen support. The laptop has a 360-degree hinge that makes it very versatile to use.
The laptop also packs a 56Wh battery, which, along with the Snapdragon 8cx's efficiency, should last for a considerate amount of time. Acer says the Spin 7 is capable of lasting for up to 29-hours, however, we'll have to test the laptop to see if it's accurate. The Spin 7 chassis also has an Acer Active Stylus, which is a rechargeable stylus with 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity that employs Wacom AES 1.0.
Acer has launched the Spin 7 for a starting price of Rs 1,34,999 and it is now available to purchase from Acer Exclusive store, Acer Online Store, and other partner stores.
