Zync launches Quad 10.1 tablet with Android 4.1, full HD display, 2GB of RAM and a quad-core processor, aggressively targetting other mid-range offerings in the segment.

Zync has today added another quad-core Android tablet to its range of tablets, the named Quad 10.1. The Android 4.1 Jelly Bean-based tablet comes with a price tag of Rs.14,990 as listed on the company’s website. The company had launched the Quad 8.0 and Quad 9.7 tablets in April.

As the name clearly suggests, the Zync Quad 10.1 tablet has a 10.1 inch Full HD IPS display with a 1920×1200 pixel resolution. It is powered by a quad-core 1.5GHz processor and an octa-core Mali-400 MP4 GPU. It weighs in at 471 grams, and features a 8,000 mAh battery. The Quad 10.1 features a solid 2GB of DDR3 RAM, apart from 16GB of built-in storage capacity, which is further expandable upto 32GB using a microSD card.

The rear of the Zync Quad 10.1 features a 5-megapixel autofocus rear camera and 2-megapixel front-facing camera for video chat. The Quad 10.1 supports Wi-Fi Direct and Wi-Fi Hotspot, however lacks Bluetooth connectivity. It comes with an HDMI port, and a microUSB port.

This Quad 10.1 tablet is packed with premium features and is being offered to the consumer at a very affordable price.”

The Quad 10.1 also comes pre-loaded with a plethora of apps such as Google Play Store, Google Maps Navigation, HTML Browser, Adobe Flash, Adobe Reader,Aldiko e-Book Reader, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, GTalk, Skye, MSN Messenger. It also offers office suite with World/Excel/Powerpoint. Some of the supported games applications include Angry Birds, Fruit Ninja etc.

The past few months have seen a slew of budget tablets launched in the Indian market that boast of Android 4.1 Jelly Bean straight out of the box. Quad 10.1 is yet another Jelly Bean powered tablet that we have seen launched in the Indian market, however the tablet seems to be packed with a lot of features at the given price.
