It allows users to share files without a hassle between their PCs and Android phones. Let me tell you about it.
You will agree with me when I say that sharing documents, files, and links across devices is a hassle. With this new OS update, Microsoft aims to tackle just that. As I mentioned earlier, users will now be able to seamlessly send files, links, and more from their PCs directly to their Android devices.
A 9to5Google report reveals that this update integrates an Android smartphone into the Windows 11 share menu. This feature is called ‘My Phone.’

How to share files from Windows PC to Android phone?
This feature is still in its beta version, but here’s how you can use it.
Step 1: First, install the Link to Windows App on Android devices and the Phone Link App on their PCs.
Step 2: Now, pair the devices. You will see a “My Phone” icon in the Windows share menu.
You can now easily share files, links, and more across your devices.
Who can use this feature?
As I mentioned earlier, the update is only available under the Beta version right now so it is
available exclusively to Beta users. We do not have an exact date as to when the feature will be rolled out for general use.
We should also note that it may not be compatible with all applications, as many Windows programs use custom share menus instead of the Windows 11 share menu.
