Xiaomi Yi 4K Action Camera, with 12MP Sony sensor launched

Xiaomi has launched its new camera, the Yi 4K Action Camera. The device has crossed its intended target on JD Finance, which is China’s equivalent of Kickstarter and those interested can pay CNY 1,199 ( approx. Rs. 12,200), which is the lowest amount that would guarantee them the device. The device is available for international pre-order on e-commerce websites like GearBest, where it is priced at $249.99 (approx. Rs. 16,700). The Xiaomi Yi 4K Action Camera has a 12MP Sony IMX377 sensor with a f/2.8 aperture lens and a 155 degree viewing angle. The camera is capable of recording videos at up to 4K resolution at 30fps. There device is powered by an Ambarella A9SE chipset and features a 2.19-inch display that is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass. It also sports a microSD card slot, six-axis gyroscope and dual microphones. It is also equipped with a 1400mAh battery. 

Xiaomi launched the Yi Action Camera last year. The device sports a 16MP Sony Exmor R BSI CMOS image sensor and is powered by an Ambarella A7LS chipset. The camera is capable of shooting videos at up to 1080p at 60fps and comes with a 960mAh battery. The Yi Action Camera is currently priced at CNY 399, which is about Rs. 4,000.
