Xiaomi today added two new mousepads to its list of accessories sold in India. The two new mouse pads, namely Mi Mousepad and Mi Metal Mousepad, are now available for purchase on “Mi store” (Mi.com). The two mouse pads are priced at Rs. 269 and Rs. 649 respectively.
The Mi Mousepad is a simple cloth mousepad with a large footprint of 80cm by 40cm. The mousepad uses a cloth material on the surface and has a rubber backing with grooves. The Mi Mousepad will come with a drawstring carry case. The Mi Metal Mousepad on the other hand, features an metal surface, which Xiaomi says has been crafted using their five stage process. The mousepad features chamfered edges and an anti-slip back, which Xiaomi says has been tested with a 3KG load for 1 minute. The metallic mouse pad has a footprint of 30cm by 24cm and is 3mm thick.
The company has been announcing price cuts lately on almost all its current phones. The Redmi 2 got a Rs. 1,000 price cut and the Redmi Note 4G's price was also slashed down to Rs. 7,999. Xiaomi’s flagship, the Mi4 (16GB) also got a significant price drop last month with the phone now selling at Rs. 14,999. It is being speculated that the price drops are in anticipation of newer phones in the respective categories. Xiaomi is expected to bring the Mi5, Redmi 2A and the Redmi Note 2 before the end of this year.
