Presently, a lot of smartphone companies are bringing in new tablets and this has led to increasing competition in the tablet market. Two such Android tablets that launched this year are Xiaomi Pad 6 and OnePlus Pad. Xiaomi Pad 6 launched the other day at a starting price tag of ₹26,999 while the base model of the OnePlus Pad is available for ₹37,999. Let's compare these two devices to help you understand which one would be a better pick for you.
Comparison of Xiaomi Pad 6 and OnePlus Pad
Design
The Xiaomi Pad is much more compact when compared to the one from OnePlus and hence can be considered to be a more portable one. Xiaomi also offers Gorilla Glass 3 protection on the front and magnetic attachment for its stylus.
Display
Both tablets have an IPS LCD display. Comparing the size, the OnePlus Pad is slightly larger in size of 11.61 inches with a resolution of 2000 x 2800p and the Xiaomi Pad 6 has an 11-inch display with an 1800 x 2880p resolution. While the OnePlus Pad has a higher-resolution screen, the Xiaomi Pad 6’s display is 50 nits more brighter.

Camera
Both the OnePlus and Xiaomi tabs have similar camera arrangement. They have a 13 MP rear camera and an 8 MP front camera. The tablets also support 4K video recording from their back camera.
Battery
The OnePlus Pad is packing a 9510mAh battery and the Xiaomi Pad 6 comes with an 8840 mAh battery. The former one has 67W fast charging support, while the latter offers a 33W fast charging. So, the OnePlus Pad gains a lead over the Xiaomi Pad 6 in battery capacity and charging speed.
Processor
Xiaomi has stowed in a 7nm Snapdragon 870 chipset in the Pad 6 whilst there is a 4nm MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC inside the OnePlus tablet. The latter is more powerful but Snapdragon processors are generally favoured by game developers. The actual performance, both in gaming and routine tasks needs to be tested.
As for the software, Xiaomi Pad 6 brings Android 13 based MIUI 14 whereas the OnePlus Pad has Android 13 based OxygenOS 13.1.
Price
The OnePlus Pad is priced at ₹37,999 for the 8+128GB model and ₹39,999 for the 12+256GB variant. Meanwhile, the Xiaomi Pad 6 is priced at ₹26,999 for the 6+128GB model and ₹28,999 for the 8+256GB model.
So, these are the major criteria that need to be taken into consideration for comparing the two tablets.
