Xiaomi launches three new smart TVs, Mi Band 3, Mi Home Security Camera, Mi Air Purifier 2S, and Mi Luggage in India

Xiaomi has launched three new Mi TVs, the 55-inch Mi LED TV 4 Pro, the 49-inch Mi LED TV 4A Pro and the 32-inch MI LED TV 4C Pro.It has also launched the Mi Band 3, its Mi Home Security Camera 360 degrees, the Mi Air Purifier 2S and two models of the Mi Luggage.

Xiaomi has finally launched some of its smart, IoT enabled devices in India, which were once exclusive to users in China. As the company previously teased, it has announced seven new smart devices aimed at turning a regular house into a smart home. Xiaomi has unveiled three new Mi TVs, the 55-inch Mi LED TV 4 Pro, the 49-inch Mi LED TV 4A Pro and the 32-inch MI LED TV 4C Pro. Alongside the TVs, the company has also announced the Mi Band 3, its Mi Home Security Camera 360 degrees, the Mi Air Purifier 2S and as we speculated, two models of the Mi Luggage. 

Specs, Features and Price of the 55-inch Mi LED TV 4 Pro, 49-inch Mi LED TV 4A Pro and the 32-inch MI LED TV 4C Pro

There are lots of features that the three Mi TVs share. Xiaomi is partnering with Google to enable voice search on the new Mi TVs and they will ship with an upgraded remote with Bluetooth connectivity. The remote also gets a new button for enabling voice search and as a part of Xiaomi’s connected ecosystem, one will be able to control the company’s other smart devices with the Google Assistant, be it on their phones or their Mi TV. The new Mi TVs are also “Built with Android TV,” which means that Xiaomi has worked with Google and the result is a new upgraded PatchWall OS that is built on top of Android 8.1 Oreo. Android TV enables Google TV services, official YouTube app integration, built-in Chromecast, and lest we forget, Google Play Store for installing apps on the TVs. 

The three new Mi TVs are powered by the same 64-bit Amlogic quad-core SoC with 7th generation imaging technology. The new 7th gen tech enables up to 60fps 4K video playback support, can automatically upscale content and comes with various audio and video codec support. Expanding its content partnership, Xiaomi is also adding Amazon Prime Videos, JioCinema, Eros Now, HOOQ and Epic On to its Patchwall library of entertainment apps. The new content will be made available for the three new Mi TVs first and will be later rolled out to older Mi TVs. 

The 55-inch Mi LED TV 4 Pro comes equipped with a 4K HDR “frameless display,” while the 49-inch Mi LED TV 4A Pro sports a Full HD+ HDR panel. The Mi LED TV 4 Pro supports DTS-HD and Dolby Audio, and the MI TV 4A Pro comes equipped with a 20W DTS-HD sound speaker. Both the TVs run on 2GB RAM and come with 8GB of internal storage. In terms of connectivity, the two TVs come equipped with three HDMI ports, two USB ports, one ethernet, an AV input, an S/PDIF and an antenna port. 

The 32-inch MI LED TV 4C Pro features an HD Ready display that can play 720P videos. It sports 1GB RAM with 8GB of internal storage and comes equipped with a 20W DTS-HD sound speaker. For connectivity, it features three HDMI and two USB ports, along with an ethernet, an AV input, an antenna port and a headphone jack. 

In terms of price, the 55-inch Mi LED TV 4 Pro is priced at Rs 49,999, which is an introductory price ahead of Diwali festivities. It will go up for sale at 12 PM from October 10 via Flipkart, and Mi.com. The 49-inch Mi LED TV 4A Pro will cost you Rs 29,999, while the 32-inch MI LED TV 4C Pro is priced at 14,999. Both the TVs are being offered at the aforementioned introductory prices for a month and will be available for purchase at 12 PM from October 10 via Amazon, and Mi.com. All the three televisions will later be made available for buyers offline via the Mi Shops and the company’s other offline distributors. 

Mi Band 3

The Mi Band 3 features a 0.78-inch OLED display panel with touch support, which is said to be 85 percent larger than its predecessor. One will be able to scroll both horizontally and vertically on the display to access additional information and it also syncs with a phone to display notifications. It comes with weather forecasts, of up to next three days. The fitness tracker features a curved 2.5D design and a recessed touch button with haptic feedback, which enables various features like accepting, rejecting, or silencing a call and more. 

The Mi Band 3 weighs 20 gm and sports a hypoallergenic silicone strap which is black in colour. However, one will also be able to get the straps in orange and blue colours. The Mi Band 3 is also water resistant up to 50m and packs a 110 mAh battery, which is said to last for up to 20 days. In terms of fitness, it can track heart rate, steps, sleep and a user’s activity and it works on Bluetooth 4.2. It can also be paired with the Mi Fit app as well, using which one can set a periodic heart rate check. 

The Mi Band 3 is priced at Rs 1,999 and will go up for sale at 12 PM on September 28 via Amazon and Mi.com. The company says that it will later be made available offline via Mi Home and its other offline partners. 

Mi Air Purifier 2S

The Mi Air Purifier 2S comes equipped with an OLED display that shows the PM2.5 levels inside a room. The brightness of the OLED display can be set to auto adjust as per ambient lighting and it also shows temperature and humidity levels and various other settings. The air purifier also comes equipped with a laser sensor that detects particles less than 0.3 um and it uses a 360 degrees triple-layer filter to remove the harmful particulates from the air. 

The company didn’t delve into the details of what grade or type of filters it comes equipped with but we will surely find this out, along with how it performs when we get it for review. The device sports a 310 cubic meter per hour of Clean Air Delivery Rate and comes with a recommended effective area of 226-398 sq ft. As the Mi Air Purifier 2S is an IoT product, it comes with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa integration and supports voice commands. It can also be paired with the Mi Home app for controlling it remotely. The Mi Air Purifier 2S is priced at Rs 8,999 and will go on sale from 12 PM from September 28 via Mi.com, Amazon and Flipkart.

Mi Home Security Camera 360 Degree

The Xiaomi Mi Home Security Camera 360, as the name suggests, features a 360-degree swivel. It can move both horizontally and vertically, and can also be connected with Wi-Fi and is capable of recording 1080P video recording with up to 64GB of microSD card support for recording. The camera comes equipped with 8 infrared illuminators sensors that enable Night Vision of up to 9 meters. 

One can also connect it to their smartphone via the Mi Home app to remotely monitor, playback recorded footage and more. The device also supports Motion Detection but it does not support 5GHz bands so, one will need to use a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi router to use the Security Camera. The Mi Home Security Camera 360 Degree is priced at Rs 2,699 and will be up for sale at midnight on October 10 via Amazon, Flipkart and Mi.com and will be made available soon offline via Mi Home and offline partners as well.

Mi Luggage

The Mi Luggage suitcase features a scratch resistant honeycomb design, which is made by manufactured by Bayer Markrolon from Germany. Made with a polycarbonate body, the Mi Luggage comes equipped with TSA approved locks, shock absorbent and wear resistant wheels, and 4 stops adjustable height handle. The suitcase comes in a 20-inch and 24-inch models, which will be sold in Blue, Grey and Red colours, while the latter one comes in Blue and Grey colours.  

The 20-inch Mi Luggage is priced at 2,999, while the 24-inch model will cost you 4,299. Both the models will go on sale at midnight on October 10 via Amazon, Flipkart and Mi.com and will be made available soon offline via Mi Home and offline partners as well.
