WWDC 23 announced: 4 things to expect from Apple World Wide Developer Conference

Updated on 30-Mar-2023
HIGHLIGHTS

Apple is holding the 2023 World Wide Developer Conference on June 5 through June 9.

It will be an in-person event from Apple Park and we will learn how to apply to attend it.

But, more importantly, we will go through a list of expected announcements from Apple at WWDC 2023.

Apple’s WWDC 23 will start on June 5 as an on-site event at Apple Park. The company professes this World Wide Developer Conference will be the “biggest and most exciting yet.” We expect the following 4 things from WWDC 2023.

4 announcements we expect from WWDC 23

1. iOS 17 and other Apple software announcements

Apple could unveil new operating systems for its leading products like iOS 17, iPadOS 17, tvOS 17, watchOS 10, and macOS 14. Recently, Mark Gurman from Bloomberg claimed this iOS release will be bringing the "most requested features" by users. Due to pressure from regulatory bodies in Europe, the company could allow for sideloading and alternate app stores on the iPhone software.

2. Apple AR/VR headset

Since the WWDC announcement image appears to look like an eye, we suspect the event could be where the long-awaited Apple augmented reality or virtual reality glasses/headset debuts. This seems more possible as Apple reportedly demoed the device to its top 100 executives the other week.

3. Apple Mac Pro with M-series chip

As its 2-year Intel to in-house silicon transition deadline is overdue, we think we could see more of its Mac hardware getting the Apple Silicon. One contender in the queue could be the Apple Mac Pro. It was last updated in 2019. So, we surmise it’s time.

4. 15-inch MacBook Air

The 15-inch MacBook laptop may not be even named an Air but whatever the name it gets, it is rumoured to ship with a 30W adapter. Besides that, the details are scant.

Well, if you are interested in visiting Apple Park to take part in WWDC in person, you can do so by submitting an application here till April 4. Note, you must be a present Apple Developer Program member, an Apple Entrepreneur Camp alumni, a former Swift Student Challenge winner, or a current Apple Developer Enterprise Program member.
