WWDC 2023 will be packed with wild technologies that might even extend reality
HIGHLIGHTS

WWDC 2023 kicks off on June 5.

We are expecting the yearly updates of macOS, iOS, and other Apple software.

We could get the 15-inch MacBook Air and the long-awaited Apple AR/VR headset.

Apple has announced WWDC 2023 schedule which includes the main keynote and other affairs on June 5. We will check out the entire itinerary. But more importantly, we have an inkling that this WWDC will be more unique and packed than ever. Let’s see how.

Apple WWDC 2023 expectations

Ahead of the WWDC, Apple has already announced a slew of accessibility features including Live Speech, Personal Voice, Point and Speak in Magnifier, etc.

Apple also announced the Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro are coming to iPads a few days back. Again this made news before the WWDC.

So, it seems like Apple is releasing lesser-important news early as it might not have time for them during WWDC.

Moreover, from the rumour mill, we think we might get to see the much-anticipated Apple XR (AR/VR) headset and the accompanying xrOS at this event. This will be a special product for Apple as for one, it is known to have been working on this project for years now and might even want this to be the next big thing for connection and communication.

Apple wants to control the core technology behind AR, VR and the whole immersive computing. It believes in how it will be able to innovate. It envisions this upcoming line of products will enable people to do more in the real world. Hence, the alleged name of this Apple tech is Extended Reality.

The headset will reportedly cost around $3000 and feature advanced hand and eye tracking (thanks to several built-in cameras and sensors), ultra-high-resolution displays, and Apple M2 silicon powering it.

Besides the headset, we also expect to see a 15-inch MacBook Air running on Apple M2 SoC, iOS 17, iPadOS 17, macOS 14, watchOS 10, etc.
