While everyone eagerly awaits the iPhone 16 series launch, Apple might be working on a new iPad mini.

Apple is currently gearing up for its highly-awaited September launch event which is scheduled for September 9th. At the upcoming event, the tech giant is expected to unveil the iPhone 16 series, along with new Apple Watch models and AirPods. While everyone is eagerly waiting for the iPhone 16 series launch, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman has hinted at a potential AI-powered iPad mini.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Gurman said, “Many Apple stores are low on stock of the iPad mini in several configs, while the device is considered ‘constrained’ internally within Apple, I’m told.”

The current iPad Mini hasn’t seen an update since 2021, which is quite a long time in the fast-moving world of technology. Gurman suggests that this stock shortage could indicate that Apple is ready to introduce a new model, possibly one with AI enhancements. While there are no official details yet, the idea of an AI-enhanced iPad mini is exciting.

If Apple did integrate AI into the iPad Mini, it could mean a device that’s not just faster and more powerful, but also more capable of understanding and predicting user needs.

So, what does this mean for potential buyers? If you’ve been thinking about purchasing an iPad mini, it might be worth waiting a bit to see what Apple has in store. The new model could offer significant upgrades, especially if AI features are involved.

As I mentioned before, Apple is currently preparing for its September launch event. Apple’s Glowtime event is scheduled for September 9th, where the tech giant is expected to launch four new iPhones along with the next-gen Apple Watches and AirPods.
