Windows 10 is being used by 300 million users for nearly three and a half hours daily. Back in September, Microsoft had announced that Windows 10 is installed on over 400 million devices and now, Yusuf Mehdi, Corporate Vice President for Windows and Devices Group has now revealed how many of use the operating system daily.

In an interview with Bloomberg, Mehdi says Windows 10 has been doing great and is used by 300 million+ users daily. He also acknowledged the fact that Microsoft has not reported Windows 10 userbase for months now. The OS was officially introduced in June 2015 as a free upgrade to Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 users, and the offer for te upgrade ended last year.

The interview comes a few days after company's Windows 10 S and Surface Laptop launch. At an event in New York last week, Microsoft announced Windows 10 S as a new streamlined version of Windows aimed at the education sector. The software only supports app downloads from company's Windows Store and lacks support for traditional Win32 programs. The service is aimed at growing popularity of Google's Chrome OS and penetration of Chromebooks in the education sector.

Mehdi pointed out that Windows 10 S is better than Chrome OS because it includes full Office support, Minecraft, VR and ability to work offline. Microsoft is hosting its annual Build developer conference next week where it is likely to provide an update to its active user base.
