WickedLeak has introduced two new budget Android tablets in India, based on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, called the Wammy Desire, and Wammy Athena. The tablets are priced at Rs. 6,499 and Rs. 13,999 respectively, and are currently up for pre-order, with delivery scheduled to start on October 14.
The Wammy Desire is a 7-inch tablet with a display resolution of 800×480 pixels, running on a 1.5GHz dual-core processor, coupled with a Mali 400 quad-core GPU, and 1GB of DDR3 RAM. Other specifications include Wi-Fi connectivity, 3G connectivity via USB dongle, HDMI-out, USB 2.0 with on-the-go support, Ethernet support, 0.3MP front-facing camera, and 8GB built-in storage (expandable via microSD card).
The Wammy Desire is 9.9mm thick, and weighs in at 343 grams. The device does not feature Bluetooth connectivity. It bears a 3,000 mAh battery, which is rated to deliver 6 hours of continuous video playback. The Desire also comes with bundled games, such as Gun Bros, Hero Of Sparta, Nova, and Spiderman. The Wammy Athena features a 9.7-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1024×768 pixels. Like the Desire, it is powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor coupled with a Mali 400 quad-core GPU, and 1GB of DDR3 RAM. Other specifications include Wi-Fi connectivity, 3G connectivity via USB dongle, HDMI-out, Ethernet support, 2MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, and 16GB of built-in storage (expandable via microSD card).
