ViewSonic has launched the VSD220 Smart Display Touch Screen in India. VSD220 Smart Display features a 22-inch Full-HD Touch monitor with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, and is powered by a dual-core, ARM-based OMAP 4 processor from Texas Instruments (TI). It will be available in India in December, at a price of Rs. 31,999, with a 1 year warranty.
ViewSonic‘s VSD220 Smart Display Touch Screen provides a PC-less web connection with a dual point optical touch screen and an integrated Android OS with Google GMS certification. The monitor allows for tablet-like browsing on a 22-inch display and traditional PC computer features in a single package.
TI’s multicore OMAP 4 processor powers the VSD220 and includes a micro HDMI for plugging in a notebook or a tablet. The VSD220 also includes 3 USB ports, a Micro SD card and RJ45 Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity options. A built in 1.2 MP webcam and integrated microphone allows for videoconferencing and taking of pictures. SRS Premium sound speakers are also integrated with the VSD220.
