Networking products manufacturer TP-LINK, has announced the launch of their TD-W8968 300Mbps Wireless N USB ADSL2 Modem Router in India. This router is supposed to be a multi-functional and simple to install modem router featuring various Internet access methods and versatile USB functions.
The device is advertised to provide 3-in-1 functions which include a high speed DSL modem, a NAT router and a wireless access point.
The TD-W8968 has 4 LAN ports, which provides users with an option to access and share Internet connections wirelessly at speeds of up to 300Mbps, allowing for proper use of bandwidth-sensitive applications such as HD Video streaming, online gaming and Internet calls.
The device supports various Internet access methods: ADSL, 3G using the versatile USB port or Ethernet WAN (EWAN) connection using the interchangeable LAN/WAN port. It gives users the ability to choose their preferred Internet connection from ADSL, VDSL/Cable/Fiber modems and 3G modems. Users can select 3G connectivity as an automatic failover backup solution if ADSL or EWAN connection is disconnected to ensure that mission-critical tasks are never interrupted.
With the TD-W8968’s multi-functional USB 2.0 port, users can share printers, files or play media either throughout the network at home with several different computers or even away, using the device’s FTP server functions.
