Former POTUS and FLOTUS, Barack and Michelle Obama, will soon appear on a streaming screen of your choice. The power couple are reportedly in talks with Netflix for a series of high-profile shows to tell “inspirational stories” as per a New York Times report.
As per the report, Netflix will pay Mr Obama and his wife for exclusive content which will only be available with the streaming platform. While the number of shows and their format remains undecided, the content from the Obamas will leverage Netflix’s 118 million plus subscribers.
People close to the developments told NY Times that the former president does not wish to use the Netflix shows as a platform to critique President Trump and his policies, instead the Obamas want to be able to inspire people through their stories.
Barack Obama was also recently seen on David Letterman’s new series on Netflix – My Next Next Guest Needs No Introduction. Obama was the first guest on the show, making his Netflix debut.
