Great news for Kindle lovers – the popular reading device is getting a much-awaited update. The new variant will offer increased storage space and a better display. Amazon claims this is the most compact and lightest Kindle they have delivered.
The newest Amazon Kindle will come with a 6-inch display that has a 300 PPI display. This means it will have 3x the pixels the previous model did. The device has an adjustable front light and dark mode feature so that users can read at night. It also has the X-Ray feature Amazon had equipped Amazon Prime with – it offers additional details about the people or the places that are discussed in the e-book. It also has a built-in dictionary that can be accessed anytime to look up what a word means.
The new Kindle comes with a 16GB internal story, which is a significant increase from the storage offered in the previous generations. It has a Type-C USB port, which means that you can charge the device using an Android charger.
Amazon revealed that the new Kindle is made of 90% recycled magnesium. The battery is claimed to last 6 weeks on a single charge. The setup process has become more streamlined too, according to the brand.
The new Kindle is already available on Amazon for purchase. It is available for ₹ 8,999 (there is a limited-period offer on the price at the moment). Once the offer ends, the device will cost ₹ 9,999. The new Kindle is available in two colours, Denim and Black.
The brand is selling its own designed cloth covers for the Kindle, and these are available in black, rose, denim and dark emerald. These are available for ₹ 1,799.
