Tesla CEO Elon Musk buys estate worth over Rs 294 crores, hopes to bond with his 11 children
Musk’s new estate spans 14,400 sq. ft., featuring two luxurious homes.
He aims to create a close-knit family setup, moving kids and mothers nearby.
Grimes, one of Musk’s partners, remains distanced amid ongoing legal issues.
Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk makes a lot of headlines for his choices, and this time he is in the news for a real estate deal. As per a recent New York Times report, Musk has reportedly acquired a mansion worth $35 million which directly converts to Rs 294 crore. The mansion complex is located in Austin, Texas and he plans to shift his family over there.
As it is, when Musk is in Austin, he stays at a residence that is just a 10-minute walk from the new property. The new “estate” is huge and luxurious, to say the least. The estate spans over 14,400 square feet and includes one main mansion and an adjacent six-bedroom property. If reports are to be believed, Musk plans on shifting some of his children and their mothers to live in neighbouring properties. He wants to foster closer family connections.
Musk hopes that this entire setup will allow his younger children to bond with each other and make it easier for him to spend time with each of them. He is a father to a total of 12 children of which one died in 2002. He has five children with his ex-wife Justine Musk, twins Griffin and Vivian, and triplets Saxon, Damian, and Kai. He also shares three children with musician Grimes, including “X” (X Æ A-12), “Y” (Exa Dark Sideræl), and Techno Mechanicus, who goes by “Tau.”
In June 2024, Musk welcomed his twelfth child with Shivon Zilis, Neuralink’s director. If reports are to be believed, Zilis has already moved into one of Musk’s Austin homes with their children. His other wife, Grimes, however, remains distanced from the whole situation. She is currently involved in a legal matter with Elon Musk and a final decision on the same is still awaited.
