If you are a Tata Sky Broadband user, then there is some good news for you. There is now a FUP on the unlimited broadband plans. The FUP per month for the Tata Sky unlimited broadband plans is set to 1500GB. That's a lot! After the FUP, the speed will fall to 2Mbps. Tata Sky Broadband has its Unlimited plans broken up into monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and yearly plans. Let's look at the plans a little closely.
On a monthly basis, users have access to pay Rs 900, Rs 1,000 and Rs 1,100 all of which offer unlimited data. The speeds for the three plans are 25Mbps, 50Mbps and 100Mbps respectively.
Moving over to the quarterly plans (3 months) users have access to pay Rs 2,700, Rs 3,000 and Rs 3,300 all of which offer unlimited data. The speeds for the three plans are 25Mbps, 50Mbps and 100Mbps respectively.
For the half-yearly plans, users have to pay Rs 4,860, Rs 5,400 and Rs 5,940 all of which offer unlimited data. The speeds for the three plans are 25Mbps, 50Mbps and 100Mbps respectively.
For the yearly plans, users have to pay Rs 9,180, Rs 10,200 and Rs 11,220 all of which offer unlimited data. The speeds for the three plans are 25Mbps, 50Mbps and 100Mbps respectively.
All the prices are excluding GST, so you may want to add 18% to know the actual price you will pay.
If 1500GB is way too much for your monthly consumption, Tata Sky Broadband has a bunch of plans with limited data as well. You can check them out here.
If you are confused as to which is the right plan for you, then there is an easy way to choose the plan with the right speed. If you have multiple devices, but none of them perform heavy downloads and only consume content online, then the 25Mbps plan should be enough. However, if you have a 4K HDR TV and would like to consume content in 4K and HDR through service providers like Netflix, then you may want to consider the 50Mbps plan as Netflix itself recommends 24Mbps to enjoy content in HDR. However, if you are looking to download and upload heavy files for work or games on your PC, PS4, or Xbox One, then more than FUP, you need speed. And that's when you should consider the 100Mbps or faster connection.
