Sybase 365 selected by Firefly to send mobile flight information

Sybase 365 announced that it has been selected by Firefly to enable the airline to send mobile flight information to its passengers

Sybase 365, a subsidiary of Sybase, provider of mobile messaging services, announced that it has been selected by Firefly, Malaysia’s first community airline and subsidiary of Malaysia Airlines, to enable the airline to send mobile flight information to its passengers, wherever they are, regardless of country of origin or mobile operator.

Firefly’s mobile flight information service is delivered using Sybase 365 Application Manager Platform, designed to handle high volume outgoing SMS traffic, yet flexible and simple for customers to use via a Web interface. Sybase 365 Application Manager also provides Firefly with a cost-effective and efficient channel to communicate with their passengers, dramatically reducing airport waiting times and leading to high customer satisfaction.
