Swipe Telecom launches three budget ICS tablets in India, starting Rs. 5,999

Swipe Telecom has launched three new budget tablets in India – Swipe 3D Life, Swipe Halo TabX74S and Swipe Float TabX78. All three Swipe tablets run on Google Android 4.0.3 ICS, and are available between Rs. 5,999 and Rs. 8,999. The details of all the three devices are as follows:

The Swipe 3D Life Tab X74 is priced at Rs. 5,999. The budget ICS tablet has a 7-inch TFT capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 800×480. The device is powered by Allwinner A13 Cortex A8 CPU clocked at 1.2GHz-1.5GHz and also has the Mali-400 GPU along with 512MB of RAM. The device has 4GB internal storage expandable upto 16GB via a microSD card.

The device also has Wi-Fi; Bluetooth built in support for a 2G GSM SIM card and video playback support for 1080p video. The device also has a rear facing 2MP camera. A 3,400 mAh battery powers the device. The device has a primary focus of 3D gaming and videos, with its colour separation (red-cyan) stereoscopic display. It will ship with one pair of 3D glasses.

Next we have the Swipe Float Tab x78 priced at Rs. 6,999. The device boasts of a 7-inch capacitive touch screen, metal shell chasing, 1.5GHz Boxchip A13 processor, Mali-400 GPU, 512MB of RAM, 2.0MP front facing camera, Wi-Fi and support for an external 3G dongle. The device has 8GB internal storage expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card. A 3,000 mAh battery powers the device.

The final tablet launched was the Halo TabX74S. The device has a 7-inch TFT capacitive touch screen with a resolution of 480×800, an Allwinner A10 Cortex A8 processor clocked at 1.2GHz-1.5GHz, Mali-400 GPU, 1GB of RAM, 4GB built-in storage expandable up to 16GB via microSD card, 1080p HD video playback support, 1.3MP front camera and a 2.0MP rear snapper. A 3,800 mAh battery powers the device. This is the most expensive of the three tablets and is priced at Rs. 8,999.

The new range of Swipe Telecom’s tablets are available via online stores such as Flipkart, Snapdeal, eBay and Ncarry. Swipe Telecom envisions more than 25,000 retail outlets across India will carry their products soon. Swipe Telecom also hopes to leverage its 600 plus service centers across India, and provide round-the-clock call center support for general and technical enquiries.
