The Suunto t3 and Suunto t4 heart rate monitors, introduced in the autumn 2006, have been renewed. From this spring on they will be available together with the brand new Suunto Comfort Belt –transmitter belt, which is pleasantly soft, yet fits well thanks to the silicone bands inside the belt. The model Suunto t1 will be available either with the Comfort Belt or with the traditional heart rate transmitter belt.
The Suunto t1 and Suunto t1c are designed for those who are just starting their exercise routine, whereas the Suunto t3c and Suunto t4c offer wider possibilities of follow-up and programming for more committed trainers.
The Suunto t3c and Suunto t4c measure heart rate, the intervals between heart beats as well as the fluctuation between intervals. Based on this data these clever devices can tell you the true training effect of your workout.
The Suunto t1, Suunto t1c, Suunto t3c and Suunto t4c female collection presents elegant and feminine straps narrow enough to fit women’s wrists. The new down-to-earth colours, Grey Mist, Orange Flare, Deep Green and Black Frost are suitable for both hard training use and office everyday.
Thanks to the coded pulse rate transmission of the Suunto t1c, the possible interference from power lines and cross-talk from monitors of fellow trainers is minimized. The Suunto t3c and Suunto t4c utilize digital ANT-technology, which both eliminates interferences between a heart rate belt and a wrist device and guarantees the use of the Suunto Bike POD, Suunto Foot POD and Suunto GPS POD for recording speed and distance.
Besides time and heart rate the Suunto t6c shows real-time training effect, TE value, the load as EPOC (Excess Post-exercise Oxygen consumption) value, and the energy consumption in kilocalories. Earlier these parameters have been available only after the data has been saved on PC and examined with the Suunto Training Manager PC software.
