Turkish authorities have arrested a student for using a device connected to AI software to cheat during a university entrance exam, reports Reuters.

The student was observed behaving suspiciously during the exam and was subsequently detained by police. The student has now been arrested and is in jail awaiting trial. Another person who was assisting the student was also detained by authorities.
Police in the southwestern province of Isparta released a video demonstrating how the student utilised a camera concealed as a shirt button, connected via a router hidden in a shoe sole, to access artificial intelligence software.
In the video, a police officer demonstrates the system by scanning a question, after which the AI software generates the correct answer, which is transmitted through an earpiece.
