Specs comparison: Samsung Galaxy M20 vs Honor 8X

The Samsung Galaxy M20 has been finally launched in India at a starting price of Rs 10,990. We are comparing the device with the Honor 8X too see which device among these two would be the right one to spend money on?

The Samsung has recently launched two new devices under its M series – Galaxy M10 and M20 among, which the Galaxy M20 is the premium one. The phone is launched in India in two variants 3GB/32GB and 4GB/64GB storage models. The higher-end 4GB variant is priced at Rs 12,990 in India.  We pitted the phone against the Honor 8X, which also comes around the same price and packs solid hardware under its hood. So, let’s see whether the Samsung latest device Galaxy M20 would able to give Honor 8X a tough competition? 

The Samsung Galaxy M20 features a 6.3-inch display that offers a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. The phone sports a tiny dew drop notch on top of it, which gives you more viewing area. On the other hand, the Honor 8X sports a slightly bigger 6.5-inch screen that comes with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. 

When it comes to the processor, the Samsung Galaxy M20 is powered by an Exynos 7904 octa-core processor, which is paired with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory that is expandable to up to 512GB via a microSD card. On the other side, the Honor 8X is powered by a Kirin 710 octa-core processor, which is coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory that is expandable to up to 512GB via a microSD card. 

As far as the cameras are concerned, the Samsung Galaxy M20 features a dual 13MP + 5MP camera setup on the back. The 5MP sensor can be used for clicking wide angle shots. At the front, the phone has an 8MP camera for clicking selfies. When it comes to the Honor 8X, the device has a dual 20MP + 2MP rear cameras with a 16MP sensor on the front. 

The Samsung Galaxy M20 is available in India for Rs 12,990, while the Honor 8X is priced at Rs 14,999 for the 4GB/64GB variant.
