Sony launches new full frame A7 and A7R ILC along with the RX10
Sony today announced a new range of its high end cameras, the Cyber Shot RX10 and Alpha 7,7R, claimed to be one of the smallest full frame camera.
Sony today has launched the Cyber Shot RX10, Alpha 7R and Alpha 7 digital cameras in India. The Alpha 7 and ALPHA 7R are full frame interchangeable lens cameras.
The Cyber Shot RX10 is a premium bridge camera that has a 20.2 megapixel Exmor R image sensor. It boasts of a 24-200mm Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T Lens with aperture size of f2.8.
Ergonomically designed and comfortable to hold, the RX 10 features evolved BIONZ X engine, which Sony claims can offer upto 3x improvements in processing speed, fully utilizing the the quality of the wide aperture lens. It also provides you full control over P/AS/M exposure modes along with simple connectivity options to smartphones via NFC or Wi-Fi.
It even supports TRILUMINOS colour, eventually delivering stunning and natural colours when watching movies or viewing photos. There’s even a range of compatible accessories from Sony like a premium jacket case, a powerful video IR light.
The RX 10 has been priced at Rs.84,990 and will be available across India by December end.
Meanwhile, the A7 and A7R are the smallest full frame mirrorless cameras in the world, claims Sony. Designed for advanced users, it allows intutive adjustments and comes equipped with advanced imaging features and runs on Bionz X processor, bright XGA OLED TrU-Finder, full HD video recording, Wi-Fi and NFC connection.
The Alpha 7R according to Sony, is the world’s lightest interchangeable lens full-frame camera. It weighs 407 grams and comes with a 35mm full frame sensor with 36.4 megapixels that allows 14 bit RAW recording. It also features a fast AF optimized for full frame sensor, direct access interface for fast and natural shooting control.
The Alpha 7R is fully compatible with Sony E mount and full frame lenses.
While, The Alpha 7 comes with a resolution of 24.3 megapixels that also allows 14 bit RAW recording. It has a 35mm full frame Exmor CMOS sensor and an advanced AF optimized for full frame sensor with direct access interface for fast and natural photography. It is compatible with Sony E-mount and full frame lenses. It comes bundled with one 28-70mm (SEL2870) full frame lens.
The Alpha 7R will be available for Rs.1,24,990 and Alpha 7 for Rs.94,990 across India by December end.
