Softinventive Lab has announced version 1.6.0 of its PC audit and network inventory solution for office and large scale enterprise networks. This new version features inventory of network devices which support SNMP protocol (manages switches, routers, network printers etc.). Users can now track other networked assets except computers, and have a more complete picture of their network In addition, computers and devices of different type can now be easily distinguished with the new icons for each type of network node. Besides, users can check online status of all nodes with a click of a button.
Total Network Inventory allows administrators to be in control of their networks and plan upgrades easily. They can inventory computers on a corporate network as if they were sitting in front of them. PC inventory is made in transparent manner. The program can scan remote computers running Microsoft Windows for a broad range of information and keep this information in a centralized database. Total Network Inventory interrogates all computers on a network and reports back with complete information about OS, service packs, hotfixes, hardware, software, running processes, etc. on remote machines. In addition to the collected information, administrators can add extra information about each machine and its user, such as inventory number, computer cost and setup date, user real name, department, position, phone, e-mail, etc. (including custom defined fields) and then view this information. This adds clarity to the network inventory process.
Total Network Inventory runs under all versions of Microsoft Windows (but preferably 2000 Professional or Server and higher) and costs from $95 (USD) for a 25 nodes license.
