Sennheiser Sport TWS earbuds launched in India with aptX audio and quad-mic setup
Sennheiser Sport comes with a 7mm driver and aptX codec.
Sennheiser has added Aware EQ for ambient awareness and has skipped ANC.
The other key Sport specifications include IP54 ingress protection, 4 mics for calls, and up to 18 hours of claimed battery life (with the case).
Sennheiser India has launched a pair of True Wireless (TWS) earphones in the market named Sport. It is packing a 7mm audio driver backed by Qualcomm aptX codec support. There is compatibility for Bluetooth 5.2 standard. For voice calls, you are getting 4 microphones. Being targetted at athletes and fitness enthusiasts, the Sennheiser Sport is also featuring an Adaptable Acoustic feature and IP54 water and dust resistance.
Sennheiser Sport Specs and Features
Sennheiser has equipped the Sport TWS with a proprietary TrueResponse transducer. The brand is proud of the underlying 7mm dynamic driver which is said to be German-made. The sound out of it is transmitted over Bluetooth 5.2 and encoding-decoding is handled by codecs like SBC, AAC, and aptX.
As the name suggests, the TWS pair is for sports enthusiasts and offers an Adaptable Acoustic feature that lets you choose between open or closed ear adapters and tune EQ settings for the preferred training sound.
There is also an Aware EQ setting that enables you to have situational awareness. On the other hand, if you don’t want distractions, the closed-ear adapter and the built-in Focus EQ settings may come in handy. There is no Active Noise Cancellation though.
The other features in the mix are IP54 dust and water protection, support for the Sound Check app, and an 18-hour total runtime with help from the charging case. Just the buds claim to offer up to 9 hours' worth of juice. When in need of a charge, plug it in for 10 minutes and get an hour’s worth of charge.
Sennheiser Sport Price and Availability
Sennheiser Sport will be available from May 3 through Amazon, the Sennheiser website, and other major electronics shops at ₹10,990 as part of a launch offer.
